  • Born Edmonton 1958, lived in St. Albert from 1960 to 1997 then moved to Sturgeon County (acreage) where we currently live.

  • Worked for Canada Post Corporation 1978 to 2001 in many departments but primarily Letter Carrier Delivery, and Mail Processing. Positions include Processing Supervisor, Letter Carrier Supervisor, Financial Supervisor and Operations Superintendent. Took 1 year leave of absence August, 2001 to accept full time pastoral position with St. Albert Alliance church and resigned from CPC spring of 2002, (total of 24 years service to Canada Post).

  • Began Pastoral Care Ministry position with St. Albert Alliance Church as Pastor of Membership August 2001 and held various community ministry portfolios until October 2006.

  • Accredited and licensed as a minister in Province of Alberta, 2001, ordained after fulfilling denominational requirements approx 2 years later.

  • During Pastoral Ministry tenure, also fulfilled extensive requirements for training as RCMP Chaplain through “K” Division Chaplain’s Program, with St. Albert Detachment assignment. On-the-job chaplain training happens regularly with ride-alongs, meetings, coffees, etc., with members of detachment, with the chaplain building careful, genuine relationships.

  • Approached by owners group of All Weather Windows Ltd. and began conversations about faith-friendly companies hiring chaplains to provide spiritual, emotional, and practical needs for their employees. Invited by ownership group to start chaplain program at AWW on trial basis, February ’06 at 12 hours per week, (while still employed as Associate Pastor). By May 2006 I was invited to increase my hours at AWW to 20 hours per week and then invited into a full time position as Corporate Chaplain, October 2006. Resigned from St. Albert Alliance Church October 2006. All Weather Windows profile – 1200 employees, branches coast to coast, employee profile, which is rich and diverse, represents 46 countries, over 30 different languages spoken by employees.

  • Extensive training in Crisis Intervention and CISM, (Critical Incident Stress Management) through RCMP, ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation). Also trained in Pastoral Crisis Intervention, Group Crisis Intervention, Advanced Suicide Intervention, Self-Inflicted Violence (Self-Mutilation), Emotional & Spiritual Care in Disasters and various other similar disciplines.

  • Served Edmonton Police Service as a (volunteer) Victims Services Advocate, (hold Advocates Certificate), training through Solicitor General’s Dept from 2006 to 2012.

  • Married to Marj, 34 years, 2 children, Cady (daughter 29 yrs), son-in-law Chad, and Devon (son 26 yrs) and a new granddaughter, Olivia Grace, with another granddaughter on the way, February 14th, 2014! Chad, Cady & Olivia live in Brisbane, Australia.

  • Live near Calahoo on acreage, black lab/husky cross dog & an orange cat and lots of grass to cut

  • I am passionate about being a life-long learner – will begin a Masters in Christian Leadership, May, 2014.

  • Enjoy travelling, riding motorcycle, landscaping, country living and any activity that connects family. I love history, community involvement and food! I am especially passionate about well-made foreign movies.
